Brunch in Berlin

When I moved to Berlin two and a half years I don't think I quite realized what a gastronomic experience the city had to offer. And ever since I got a paid job a few months later I've been spending a lot of time and money trying out all the different foods and restaurants to be found in Berlin, focusing on my favourite meal of the day - brunch.

Breakfast, or the first meal of the day, is one of the things most different from country to country. I will never really get used to egg and bacon in the morning, nor black coffe with a croissant and jam. Being Scandinavian, one of the (many) things I really appreciate about Germany is their salty breakfast with dark bread, ham and cheese and yoghurt - just the way it is supposed to be.

I have, however, found that it is not the easiest thing to find a good brunch place in the different parts of town. Or maybe I should say, it is easy to find a good brunch place but why settle for a good place when there is a great one around the corner that you just don't know about? So I've been going around the various neighbourhoods of Berlin trying out brunch places (and the occasional restaurant, bar, café...) gathering knowledge that I now thought I should make more easily accesible - in a blog! Here are a few of my favourite places.
